I used this as a Duvet insert. It's soft, lightweight and smooth on the bed. Not lumpy at all. I would buy it again.Super cute and cozy. Definitely worth the $.Comes vacuum sealed and I noticed no odors when unboxing. What a beautiful shade of green it is! ( Well I chose green, yours may be different) The picture doesn't do the color justice. The blanket is lightweight and cozy. Can be used as a duvet insert or as a standalone comforter. I cannot find a single fault in the quality of this product. The price is more than I would normally pay for a similar comforter . I really like it though!Opened the package to a weird chemical smell. I've had it sitting out for a few hours now and smell is still there but nothing a run through the washing machine won't get out. Blanket is thinner then I was expecting but the color is a very pretty emerald green and more then makes up for it. Feels warm enough for now but will probably have to double up in the winter.I replaced my lumpy old comforter with this California King sized one, and it’s beautiful. It doesn’t feel as thick as my old comforter, and the consumer tag on this one says that it is filled with 3.86 pounds of new polyester material. The fabric is also polyester – I went to bed thinking I was going to be sleeping under a plastic bag!But the comforter is lightweight and just right. The microfiber fabric has a smooth, silky feel to it and while sleeping in my bedroom at 70 degrees (F) temperature, I was comfortable and slept straight through the night, not the usual for me. Better, I didn’t have to reach for more comforter to cover me – the 98x108 inch size is more than enough for two active sleepers! I must say that the Emerald-Green color is very attractive, too and looks well in my bedroom. The only slight negative to the comforter is that the fabric cover seam is over-stitched on the outside, not tucked inside as with many other similar products. But you have to look for this and it didn’t take away from a pleasant night’s sleep.I did put the comforter in the dryer and tumbled it for 20 minutes on low heat when I received it. The fill fluffed up nicely and evenly and stayed put so I have hope that it will last through future washing.I had been waiting to replace my comforter until I found the one that looked like what I had but also had a fantastic review to trust. I read one of the reviews for this item and figured, "okay, this sounds pretty good, fingers crossed". And yeah, it is THAT good.INITIAL: First thing to note, it comes packaged pretty small (see pic). It's hard to imagine how fat and fluffy this thing becomes but it has a life of it's own! I opened it and double checked for any marks or bugs (I'm paranoid like that); it was clean. As with anything ordered, I put it in the wash and followed the instructions as recommended. I included pictures to show the thickness once it's puffed up.FUNCTION: Since we all live in different climates and have different preferences, it would be difficult to say what works for one person is great for another. I tested this out right after washing it and I felt warm. But isn't that what a blanket is supposed to do? For reference: During the summer, I generally fold my comforters at the foot of the bed and just use a top sheet as a blanket. During the winter, I would be using a top sheet, this blanket, and another blanket if needed.FEELING/AESTHETICS: It's sooo soft that I can't stop willingly swishing my legs around underneath it. My biggest concern was that it would be made of that cheap loud slippery looking materials but it is NOT. I can't stand down comforters with the feathers that seem to take joy in stabbing you or poking out of the material. I will only purchase down alternatives and this one is just so soft and classy looking. I know some are looking to put this into a duvet cover but I wanted it just as it is. I got a king size for a queen bed so I could have more overhang on either side. I also like to turn down the top of the bed with a sheet so this made it long enough to do just that.OVERALL: It's absolutely beautiful, feels sturdy, is beyond soft, and just looks great. This is exactly what I wanted. As it is, and I don't say this often, but if I could give it 6 stars, I would. I've only owned in about 2 weeks now so it's durability after multiple washes remains to be seen. However, if I find that it doesn't last as it should, I will update this review. As of now, I would absolutely buy this again.Very nice medium-weight comforter. Fluffed up nicely out of the packaging and did not come with any funky smells. There are eight duvet cover attachment loops - four on the corner and four on the sides. I plan on using a duvet cover which will add some weight to make it a decently heavy Winter weight comforter. The color I got was green. It is a true EMERALD green not the more trendy forest, sage, or moss green (the picture has a blueish tint but it is not blueish). The individual squares of padding seemed to be equal... not one puffier than another which makes for a lumpy-looking bed... nope, perfectly smooth. I am sure this will actually be a true multi-season comforter with the duvet off in Summer and a regular duvet cover in the Fall/Spring and probably a heavier duvet cover in the Winter or possibly another blanket on the bed.
