We loved this so much we bought a second one to replace a less attractive dog bed elsewhere in the house (we were using crib mattresses). It looks great, feels nice and soft, and the cover is easy to get on and off so I think it will be easy to wash. It has a water-resistant (water-proof?) liner that looks thin but I think it will do the job. This is a good size, even for long-legged, 80# greyhounds and they love it and seem to prefer it to other, fluffier-type stuffed beds. The memory foam must be really comfortable. No more sulking over who didn’t get the window seat now that we have this bed! I recommend some carpet grip pads underneath it if you have wood floors, to prevent sliding, and it takes quite a while to fluff up completely. It arrives super compressed and flat, Give it at least three days to expand fully.When it arrived I was skeptical; it did not seem like it would be easy to clean or durable at all. It did take about two days to fully expand. It was initially difficult to fit the bed in the cover. However, the cover will stretch to fit the bed snuggly after a day or two. Immediately my new puppy had an accident on the bed. I was pleasantly surprised when I removed the furry cover to find the the cover over the actual mattress is water resistant. I was able to sanitize it. The furry cover itself washes in my top loading washing machine with an agitator with no problem. I vacuum it with the vacuum hose first to get any treat crumbs or debris out, or shake it very well. Then I turn it inside out and zip it up. I wash it in cold water with regular detergent and softener and some scent beads to make sure it’s fresh smelling. It dries on high heat in the dryer, but it will be a tight fit going back over the mattress. It will stretch back out in a day. I got the largest size and it (barely) fits my small adult Doberman. Perfect for the lab puppy. I have had it about half a year and it has withstood rough play, vigorous wear and tear, and multiple accidents. The zipper still works great, the fabric is intact without tears, and the fur is still soft and thick. I typically have to buy a new dog bed once every three to four months due to wear and tear from these dogs, so I feel it has saved me money. My older dog with arthritis pain actually prefers this bed to her orthopedic 8 inch thick mattress. Overall, while I had my doubts initially, I have grown to love this bed and am very impressed with the quality.It takes a while to puff up, but eventually does. Looks good and the dogs love itDog likes it. It looks good in my family room. Recommend.The fluffy shell is attractive and very soft. It does not look tacky. However, it’s been four days and the memory foam never fluffed up. It offers no support to my dog and I am returning it.UPDATE: I’ve had it for over a week now and the memory foam continues to puff up. It’s still not the softest dog bed but it’s nice.These types of beds are expensive so it’s worth it for the price.I thought this dog bed mat would have a little more cushion. I was hoping for it to have a little more support the foam doesn’t feel like orthopedic foam. Looks good and dogs still sleep on itLove this! Its thicker then I thought it would be. My dogs love it, definitely worth it. And it's super cute ?My senior big breed dog is extremely picky about where he sleeps but I know he has been struggling with joint pains and wanted to get him something softer to lay on besides our flat hall rug. Took a gamble on this bed and it’s a go night 1! I almost cried, so happy I could relieve some of his discomfort. Highly recommend
